London, UK — D Contemporary is proud to present Dreams Without Borders, a group exhibition featuring thirteen international artists and the inaugural curatorial project of Studio to Gallery. Founded by Sonia Borrell, the platform is dedicated to supporting artists through the journey from studio practice to gallery presentation.
Opening on 3 July at 1 Birdcage Walk, London, the exhibition celebrates contemporary artistic voices that transcend disciplines, cultures, and geographical boundaries. This exhibition begins with a simple yet powerful premise: every artwork starts in the solitude of the studio before entering the public space of the gallery.
Bringing together thirteen international artists, Dreams Without Borders celebrates this transformative journey. It is an exhibition about process, experimentation, dedication, and the moment when private acts of creation become shared experiences.
The artists presented work across diverse disciplines, materials, and cultural perspectives. Their practices differ in form and approach, yet they are united by a shared commitment to authenticity and artistic inquiry. Through abstraction and figuration, narrative and gesture, intimacy and scale, these works explore personal histories, emotional landscapes, memory, identity, and the ever-changing relationship between the individual and the wider world.
As the inaugural exhibition presented by Studio to Gallery, this project reflects a vision of creating meaningful opportunities for artists to move confidently from the studio environment into professional exhibition spaces. It recognises the importance of visibility, dialogue, and community within contemporary artistic practice.
Rather than seeking a single narrative, the exhibition embraces multiplicity. Each artist contributes a distinct voice, creating a collective portrait of contemporary creativity that crosses borders and cultures while remaining rooted in the deeply personal act of making.
Dreams Without Borders invites viewers to encounter these works not only as finished objects, but as traces of artistic journeys—moments of reflection, experimentation, and discovery shared between artist and audience.
